Multi Cloud Business Manager

The Modern Data Center (MDC) Team is a specialist sales and presales team focused on driving IT Transformation across our customer base by leveraging a portfolio comprising Converged & Hyper-Converged Platforms along with enabling technologies like VMware & Pivotal. The priorities for the MDC team are to focus on large deal creation, leading the world in the adoption of workload-based selling, and creating a strong Converged, Hyper-Converged and Multi-Cloud business.

Multi-Cloud Business Manager is a senior-level individual contributor position in the Modern Data Center speciality sales division. The primary objective of the Multi-Cloud Business Development Manager is to promote and sell Multi-Cloud offerings from Dell Technologies to Enterprise customers, in close co-operation with the regional, country and functional sales teams.

Multi-Cloud Business Manager will operate in environments where medium to high complexity Cloud, IT Technology solutions and/or services are sold. Multi-Cloud Business Development Manager will partner with sales (both speciality and coverage) and technical teams in more complex sales engagements and in certain instances will take responsibility for managing the client relationship. In any instance, the Multi-Cloud Business Development Manager will lead and manage the creation and closure of a strong pipeline against established program targets working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Individually and partnering with the coverage team drive Multi-Cloud deals based on delivering the business outcome and value-based selling activities

  • Identify, qualify and develop Multi-Cloud Sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships in the defined territory

  • Promote and evangelize Dell Technologies Multi-Cloud portfolio to selected customers, partners, and internal audiences

  • Be a spokesperson for MDC at customer events and executive briefings.

  • Develop relationships and collaborate with our partners to define, recommend, and drive Multi-Cloud sales

  • Develop and execute a sales plan that provides complete territory and sector-specific coverage

  • Leverage appropriate sales programs and sales campaigns; maintain up-to-date competitive information and compile regional success stories

  • Closely engage with senior customer contacts to build credibility and develop lasting relationships

  • Work hand in hand with Pre-Sales support for creating technical rapport with the customer and developing corresponding Multi-Cloud technical strategy

  • Lead successful go-to-market campaigns, by working closely with internal marketing specialists, coverage and geo management

  • Contribute and lead account planning, customer/market analysis, and strategy sessions

  • Contribute individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others

  • Exhibit high levels of drive, motivation, energy and passion. Requirements:

  • A strong interest in technology, passion for sales and strong communication skills.

  • 5+ years of experience in direct software/ services/ xAAS sales, including Cloud Service experience.

  • Solution seller: able to understand quickly business needs and establish trust and engage in outcome-based selling approach.

  • Agile: Able to drive a high volume of active opportunities at speed, at the same time, closing deals within aggressive timescales

  • CxO Level: Able to confidently present to C Level audiences and address both business and technical objections.

  • Leadership: Keen to step in and lead people through challenging business landscapes. Ability to lead through influence.

  • Connected: Able to use both personal and Dell Technologies networks in order to navigate within a customer to identify targets and opportunities

  • High levels of prospecting skills: targeting, find the names, connecting, getting the meeting – searching for non-traditional contacts outside installed base data and using all methods to interact with them

  • Cloud confident: Able to outline the full Dell Technologies Multi-Cloud picture, well versed with Hyperscalers and Cloud business model. Able to apply Multi-Cloud concepts in addressing customer’s business challenges.

  • Technically astute: Able to personally maintain and develop 101/ 102 technical conversations, without needing to always engage technical resources

  • Value-driven: Able to identify real-life use-cases for Cloud in the customer’s environment that drive value and can lead to high touch, strategic, long term engagements.

  • Optimistic and positive mindset, eager to interact and influence people, driven by winning and resilience.

  • Disciplined: weekly reporting on activities, systematic fast execution, perfect sales and sales process hygiene.
