Lead Engineer/Product Owner

In this key role as part of our XaaS development team, you will participate in the development and delivery of the on-premise software components of Dell’s new APEX Cloud Services. You will be joining a dynamic environment with other motivated, talented individuals who inspire greatness in their teammates. Responsibilities

  • Work as a technical team lead, guiding and mentoring team as well as taking on significant individual software development tasks.

  • Work with product management and engineering teams to understand business priorities and breakdown features into stories and stories into tasks.

  • Work with development teams and project managers to define team milestones and demos.

  • Work closely with architects on designs and design reviews.

Requirements

  • 8+ years leading software engineering teams and interfacing with product management, MS in computer science or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud and infrastructure, DevOps (CI/CD), Ansible, Linux, and networking/security.

  • Experience with cloud native architectures, micro-service and container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, istio

  • Experience working as part of an agile team: agile tools, continuous integration, and standard software development best practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and refactoring

  • Strong programming skills in Golang, Python, and/or other high-level languages

  • Experience leveraging software delivery tools such as Jenkins and Jira.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to collaborate and work in a distributed team across multiple time zones

  • Technical curiosity - willingness to explore and learn new technologies, patterns, and practices.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working with SRE teams, defining SLOs and associated monitoring, alerting and automation processes and tools.
