Key Responsibilities

As a C++ Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will take technical ownership of design and implemention of Live Optics thick-client software and coordinate with the US/Ireland/Egypt based architecture team. Core responsibilities include:

  • Coding solutions to a high level of testability, modularity and maintainability

  • Architecture and design of the Live Optics infrastructure and codebase

  • Estimating schedule of software deliverables

  • Support and development of junior software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • Vast experience (8+ years) developing modern C++ and coding best practices (advantageous if experience in both Windows and Linux platforms)

  • Experience using C++ Standard Lib, (Familiarity with Boost Libraries is advantageous)

  • Familiarity with C++ unit test frameworks, and test driven development.

  • Background in desktop or server application development

  • Client side or remote API development

Desirable Requirements

  • Domain experience in the following: Storage Arrays, Data Protection, Virtualization

  • Win32 API C++ App development

  • Development experience using Java, Web UI, Linux
