Working in an environment that’s as complex as it is critical, our Buyer team within Materials and Procurement manages a group of indirect categories, such as real estate, marketing material, supplies or software. We use our in-depth knowledge and experience to develop strategic relationships with external suppliers as well as with key stakeholders. Our role also includes leading contract negotiations, managing risk, driving cost-saving initiatives and implementing strategic sourcing best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Primarily focused on managing the external transportation providers.

-Handles escalated vendor issues from team members

-Provides direction and mentoring for less experienced team members.

-Data analysis, metric and cost coordinator.

-Handles exception management and escalated outsourced partner issues from team members.

-Interfaces with IT on exception Management

-Provides carrier routing and setup.

-Accountable for customer order tracking & status updates.

-Responsible for cost tracking

Requirements

-5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience

  • Microsoft Suite, Tableu a - Problem solving skills

  • Critical Thinking

  • Strength in the core competencies of organizational agility

  • Command and presentation skills
