Dell Senior Solution Architect (f/m) in Nieuwegein, Netherlands

Dell EMC’s Global Services division is a consultancy organization focused on helping customers accelerate time to value from all Dell Technologies solutions, and is our internal partner for large-scale transformational projects.

We are looking for a Sr Advisor, Solutions Architect, who will join the Deployment Services business unit and will provide advanced technical and/or business consultative services for Dell EMC clients.

Successful applicants will need to understand and provide over-arching & holistic view of the service provided from a technical perspective. They will be key in assisting our clients on design upgrades, expansions and configuration changes, so that the team can deliver to the agreed service level and or exceed the customers expectation. Provide support for day to day operations of the environment including problem resolution, tuning and configuration change.

Responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to:

  • Lead the development of technical solutions within consulting practice area

  • Independently develop solutions and strategies based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure and apply principles, concepts and techniques of skills in developing solutions and strategies

  • Consulting activities include identifying needs, developing, influencing, and implementing customer solutions

  • Provide direction for entire consulting project or a project team and make decisions on approaches and procedures

  • Provide customer solutions for a large project or several small to medium size projects with limited complexity using standard methodology

  • Prepare project proposals, cost estimates and participates in sales and proposal presentations

  • Integrate multiple technologies and applications within a specific customer solution

  • Regularly serve as a post- sales support specialist through the development of materials and by presenting simple solutions to prospective clients as a subject matter expert

  • Expectation to identify additional opportunities within current customer relationships

  • Contribute to the preparation of multiple white papers

  • Creating designs and installation documentation with deep-dive technical insights into the architectural aspects of HCI & CI.

  • Comprehensive analysis and decision on the number of disks, Tiers, RAID groups, Hardware and software specifications of the product using Sizer tools.

  • Configure new Quote orders as per customer contract commitments and restrictions.

  • Coordinating and assisting the Implementation team with the Implementation of the newly shipped arrays.

  • Configure upgrades based on contract commitments and actual performance data that continue to meet performance commitments

  • Evaluate performance data to verify are they meeting contract commitments and provide recommendations on how much performance capability is still available for workload expansion.

  • Accuracy in Billing and Reporting, Capacity Management with regards to all products and creation/modification of process documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree

  • Good Hands On Experience with HCI & CI Platforms.

  • Subject matter expert in Block/File Technologies and Switches

  • Proven experience in a similar role/ Solution Architect / Product Design

  • Hands on experience on Implementation, Performance Analysis, Sizing and Design Workbook preparation.

  • Good hands on experience on MS Excel –Macros, Pivot Tables.

  • Strong communication skills with a desire and willingness to work in a 24/7 business environment.

  • Self-motivated and Ability to expand skills and knowledge into new technical areas relevant to customer and market needs.
