Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, Product Management is responsible for the cross-functional management of products or solutions through their entire lifecycle. Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to implement our products or solutions. We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the competitive intelligence expert in the data protection product management team

  • Work with other groups within Dell to aggregate competitive intelligence and present it to product management organization in a coherent, actionable format

  • Be the go to expert for all competitive questions and be willing to get the answer either through primary research or by leveraging other internal sources

  • Work across all functional areas to help in developing product plans and roadmaps

  • Work with sales & marketing in competitive positioning and promotion of Dell Technologies products

  • Assist sales in closing opportunities through competitive intelligence, product roadmap discussions and customer presentations

  • Drive product adoption as the data protection software subject matter experts in industry events, blogs and community building

  • Maintain an excellent understanding of customer needs, market requirements, and technology trends

Essential requirements

  • Experience with, and exceptional understanding of, data protection technology and competitive landscape

  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate across groups and businesses to drive a common solution

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to effectively present and influence

  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) and Mobile technologies

  • Experience with Agile Methodology

  • Bachelors with 8+ years related experience or Masters’ Degree with 6+ years, MBA a strong plus or equivalent experience
