What you’ll achieve

As a Sr. UX Writer you will collaborate with product UX design teams to craft intuitive, actionable, and easy-to-understand user experiences by creating short- and long-form content for Dell’s customer-facing digital properties and the company’s internal digital channels and tools. This includes, but is not limited to, UI microcopy and copy, instructional content, and other elements of the end-to-end user experience for website and aaS journeys. As a UX writer you will collaborate with designers, content strategists, developers, researchers, architects, and business stakeholders.

You will:

  • Ensure content complies with our brand standards, style guide, and maintains site-wide consistency.

  • Contribute to the development of the content style guide, content strategies, best practices, and processes.

  • Present your ideas to design and business stakeholders and adapt to feedback.

  • Intake and understand complex requirements and problems and distill the appropriate customer-centric content solution.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience participating in UX research teams to identify content requirements

  • Superior editing and proofreading skills, as well as demonstrable professional experience writing for the Web

  • Experience writing for different use case scenarios on a large complex website or software applications

  • Ability to identify critical insights (whether through trends or through hard data) and organize them into actionable plans that can be shared across content, UX, and development

  • Experience in structured authoring (DITA-based) utilizing xMetal

Desirable Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and 6 years relevant experience

  • Background in enterprise data center products and/or aaS highly desirable; as well as experience using Figma and Miro

  • Experience participating in UX research teams to identify content requirements.

  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills with extreme attention to detail.

  • Experience in structured authoring (DITA-based) utilizing solutions such as xMetaL.

Desirable Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.

  • Experience using Figma and Miro, working on cloud-based deliverables, and project management tools such as JIRA or Rally.
