What you’ll achieve

As a Presales Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the creation of profitable, deployable custom services solutions with agreed governance & controls. You will work with a team of services and sales professionals driving the definition of custom statements of work for current and emerging technologies across our Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) services portfolio.

You will:

  • Contribute to the pre-sales qualification and the delivery of the technical architectural design, services strategies and plans that will be delivered in the customer engagement.

  • Work independently or as a team lead consulting with others to align our services capabilities and define winning services SOWs in line with the customer requirement and sales pursuit strategy.

  • Proactively identify upsell opportunities and potential situations that may result in scope change and seek to eliminate business exposure / risk. Follow quality assurance and governance oversight process/guidelines.

  • Contribute to Dell Technologies internal quality improvement initiatives by providing lessons learned from previous engagements and the development of reusable services SOW content.

  • Support and Mentor less experienced team members in an SME capacity.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong technical writing skills with demonstrated ability to define service deliverables / establish required service delivery resourcing to achieve customer outcomes.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in working with internal and external customers across all levels.

  • Strong knowledge, understanding and application of project management principles and methodologies

  • Technical knowledge of the Dell Technologies hardware and software platforms with direct implementation experience preferred.

Desirable Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Recent hands on Dell Technologies service delivery experience / knowledge

  • Dell Technologies product and solution expertise, particularly in complex multi-product / multi-technology engagements.
