Dell Field Marketing Consultant - QLogic (Cavium) - NA Server CoC - Round Rock, TX in Oklahoma

RESPONSIBILITIES

The QLogic (Cavium) Business Development Manager will support and drive sales of QLogic solutions for Fibre Channel and Ethernet adapters within the NA Server & Networking sales teams (Global Compute & Networking) business. Key responsibilities are:

  • Create and manage overall QLogic sales engagement plan in support of QLogic objectives as well as Dell Server sales targets.

  • Identify new opportunities, develop pipeline, and generate revenue for QLogic as the preferred customer solution for Fibre Channel and Ethernet adapters.

  • Drive relationships with TSRs, TSMs, TSDs to enable proactive, informed sales cycles for servers that require FC connectivity.

  • Become a go-to resource for TSRs to answer technical, process questions regarding QLogic products.

  • Provide access to technical/sales resources and support from QLogic corporate resources.

  • Conduct training on QLogic Fibre Channel and Ethernet adapter solutions to the relevant technical sales and sales teams.

  • Promote and manage the special bid process on significant opportunities.

  • Provide supply availability information to assist sales in optimizing sales and delivery capability

  • Escalate issues impeding sales through Dell and work with QLogic and/or Dell personnel to resolve issues supporting customers.

  • Provide weekly reporting on key metrics for Cavium sales leadership and Dell Server CoC leadership:

  • QLogic share of total HBA sales

  • Pipeline (revenue, units)

  • Opportunities

  • Training and enablement activity, including team meetings, opportunities discussed, training held, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills for success in this position include:

  • 8-10 years experience in server and/or networking technical sales with established record of quota attainment

  • 2-3 years experience selling Fibre Channel and/or networking component sales.

  • Experience developing business cases, creating reporting, and justifying investments using ROI analysis and other metrics.

  • Experience independently managing sales pipelines and generating reporting supporting business objectives.

  • Strong technical and business acumen.

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
