5G NR Senior Radio Verification Developer

Dell is looking for a 5GNR Senior Radio Verification Developer to take part once in a career opportunity to be part of building something from scratch and shepherding it into the marketplace.

The 5GNRSenior Radio Verification Developer will be a key member of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team.  The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have significant work experience managing and technically leading verification of radio products.

From applied research to advanced engineering, Dell’s 5G R&D team will design and develop ground-breaking products & solutions. It’s a fascinating field of work. You will be involved in assessing the competition, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. Your contributions will drive product architecture and implementation. And you will work with colleagues across the business to ensure Dell products always lead the way.

You will:

  • Be responsible for all radio requirement verification related processes and execution

  • Be responsible to ensure all radio requirements (3GPP, ETSI, ORAN, Internal Design) and related matters are verified

  • Create radio requirement verification specifications, develop test plans and execute test strategies

  • Organize, create, review and submit documentation

  • Assist in development of a suite of test automation tools

  • Train and mentor personnel as required

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Global/International radio standards (3GPP, ETSI, ITU, FCC, etc.) and internal radio design requirements

  • Extensive experience writing, executing test plans, reviewing results to verify radio requirements are met

  • Extensive testing of wireless technologies such as NR, LTE, WCDMA, and GSM for both Downlink and Uplink

  • Extensive RF engineering experience and RF lab work (Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.)

  • Strong leadership, self-organizing, with great verbal, written & interpersonal skills

Desirable Requirements

  • University Degree in technology

  • 5 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of ORAN

  • Software development skills
