What you’ll achieve

Working with the program CTO, own and drive 5G RAN and Enterprise Solution Architecture for the end to end offering. Including Core, DU+CU+O&M.

You will:

  • Develop end to end 5G network architecture and data models to meet the needs of Dell's high performance 5G solutions.

  • Drive solutions aligned with 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance (O-RAN) specifications for 4G and 5G networks in the open RAN ecosystem.

  • Translate 5G solution business and operations data requirements into logical data models for information/data flow between components of the 5G solution leveraging defined data modeling standards and industry best practices.

  • Develop information and data models relevant to 5G systems including, studying existing standards and best practices and available benchmarks; develops information life cycle management including data classes and sub-classes, indexes, directories, repositories, messages, sharing, hiding, replication, back-up, retention, and recovery.

  • Design and implement data management for 5G operational elements and applications and required data pipeline/hierarchy solution including structured/unstructured/in-memory/data-warehouse repositories, data replication and caching; developing and maintaining data and feature dictionaries and repositories; converting logical data models to physical data models; documenting model schema and system management.

  • Effectively maintain all artifacts associated with down-stream AI/ML and automation applications

  • Act in a consulting capacity to the AI/ML and automation development teams. Utilizing an extensive knowledge of the application, understanding of functional enhancements, consider all potential impacts and provide advice on the most appropriate solutions & potential problems.

  • Assist in defining strategy in areas such as Data Integration, Architecture, DataQuality, Meta Data Management and Master Data Management.

Essential Requirements

  • The candidate for this role will have significant work experience in 5G wireless development, 4G R&D, mobile systems, and 3GPP as well as a strong background in NFV and cloud system architectures.

  • Record of working on large mobile network systems either as a member of a network equipment manufacturer or as a radio technology provider

  • RAN and wireless software ecosystems, ideally including exposure to O-RAN

  • Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications

  • Hands-on technical skills and the demonstrated ability to work across disparate groups including sales, operations, product management, and engineering.

  • Organized, goal-oriented technical leader to follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable development peers and businesspartners.
