Product Management Consultant

We lead and deliver the entire lifecycle from product definition and planning through to production and release. We also oversee modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. What you’ll achieve
As a Product Management Consultant, you will identify new growth areas, technologies and emerging product/service opportunities. You will conduct in-depth market analysis to optimize existing products/solutions and build next generation products, partnering closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams to build a product road map and align product strategies for the business.
• Collaborate with Business stakeholders and Senior Engineers on design/creation/positioning for highly available and scalable products
• Use Lean Software Development processes such as Agile, Scrum and Kanban
• Author strategy docs, white papers, market research and vision documents along with user stories for current and future products
• Present strategic product communications across multiple stakeholder organizations
• Manage the entire product life cycle, prototyping and testing new features and changes to our product and processes

• Experience in defining long-term product strategy and vision
• Business and entrepreneurial acumen with strategic and critical thinking
• Strong technical acumen with a history of building/delivering enterprise products
• Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional specifications, coordinating efforts to scope and scheduling and deploying new feature sets
• Experience in writing product and customer requirements and using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize decision-making.
• Strong technical skills in IT, datacenter, edge computing systems, Cloud, compute, storage, networking and security and a specialty in monitoring and reporting using Dell's Data Protection Advisor product.
• Existing technical DPA experience would be preferred
• Existing PM skills/experience
• DPC (Data Protection Central) experience/exposure would be an advantage.
• 12-15 years experience in technical Product Management

This PM role is predominantly to cover the PM activities for the DPA product and thus requiring working knowledge of DPA (Data Protection Advisor) and working very closely with the DPA Engineering team.
A technical and/or PM background in M&R (Monitoring and Reporting) is essential and this is also a customer facing role and will require experience in dealing with customers and ideally be personable.
Having DPC experience/knowledge/exposure will be an advantage.
PM Tools that will be used are Jira, Confluence and Aha! - so exposure to these tools would also be an advantage. There are other tools/products that PM use.
Standard PM accountabilities : roadmap planning, release planning, developing business justifications/plans , reviewing customer feedback and RFEs (Request for enhancements) and delivery/structuring a prioritized backlog for Engineering to work from.
