Software Engineer 2 (DD System Manager - GUI)

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation Data Protection features and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve

As a Software Engineer 2, you will involve driving the overall quality of product writing test plans and test execution by manual and automation, analyzing customer found issues and come up with improvement plans

You will:

  • Contribute to test automation activities by coding and programming in current languages

  • Develop new and re-evaluate existing test methodologies and processes

  • Provide requirements and specifications for the automation of test cases

  • Be responsible for delivery of subsystem, anticipating issues and addressing proactively

  • Author and execute test cases and testing methodology for manual and automated tests.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent GUI Automation experience in Selenium , Java and Javascript

  • Automation expertise in qualifying Angular based Web Products

  • Skills on modern UI Automation frameworks like Protractor, Cypress would be an added advantage

  • Able to take accountability of quality of overall product

  • Able to put a test strategy for one or more products

  • Own multiple components and contribute to improving quality

  • Perform black box, grey box and white box testing as needed

  • Learn new tools, programming language and framework to increase productivity

  • Provide solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Use tools appropriately with technical guidance and complete tasks and assignments under normal supervision

  • Follow standard engineering/test practices. Use judgment within defined practices and procedures. Implements work-plans and schedules as assigned

  • Seek assistance when needed, demonstrates self-initiative

  • Ability to read a specification (hardware, software or network) and develop appropriate test methodology

  • Ability to learn and apply new tools and applications. Full use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, and concepts

  • Executes test cases and testing methodology for manual and/or automated tests

Education:

Bachelors of Masters in computer science engineering.
