Dell Data Security is focused on providing an industry-leading set of software solutions to move businesses forward. Our award winning portfolio includes advanced threat protection, enterprise-class encryption and authentication solutions for a variety of platforms. These solutions enable administrators to centrally control, manage, audit and secure data no matter where it is stored. This specific position will be on the macOS client development team where the team is responsible for encrypting and protecting user's corporate data. The team designs client client-side security software for macOS and we're looking for talented engineers to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and debug client-side software to protect and encrypt user's data

  • Participate in technical engagements with key development partners

  • Analyze solution requirements, design and validation strategies

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of Objective C software development experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Object Oriented programming

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of macOS internals (HFS+/APFS file systems, Core Storage, kernel extensions)

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of secure XPC interprocess communication

  • Must have strong communication skills and be project oriented with ability to work with minimal day-to-day direction

  • Must be highly motivated and willing to work in a team environment

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with data encryption and client/server security

  • Experience with designing multithreaded applications

  • Experience with Mac-based encryption solutions like FileVault2

  • Experience with C++ software development

  • Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD).
