Job Title: Automation Architect

Location: Round Rock, Texas


As part of the Microsoft Hybrid Cloud Team, you’ll help transform the hybrid cloud market by bringing together the best technologies from Microsoft and Dell EMC. This team is responsible for the Dell EMC Azure Stack integrated systems, the cloud applications designed to run on Azure, along with the Dell technologies that will deliver the best customer experience with Azure Stack.

Currently we are looking for an experienced and passionate Automation Architect with excellent communication skills to make our team even stronger.


Consult and set direction of a right-fit automation approach for the Azure Stack product

Identify key solution aspects that would benefit from automation.

Participate in Agile planning sessions, work with scrum teams and set direction for developers.

Work closely with functional leaders in identifying requirements and key needs for the future solution

Lead implementation of coding methodologies and best practices in order to establish consistency across development teams.

Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices, including emerging ones that pertain to HCI and cloud.


Hands-on current experience authoring, building and adopting large scale, cross-functional automation frameworks.

Knowledge of multiple coding languages and automation approaches.

Experience in CI/CD environments utilizing SDLC automation.

Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as PowerShell, Azure, Hyper-V.

Working knowledge of JIRA

Experience participating in code reviews, implementing version control and setting direction for developers

Ability to be a strong team player and operate efficiently across functional teams.
