Business Development within Corporate Marketing provides the market analysis, competitor information and customer knowledge to evaluate new business opportunities and steer their success. Focused on growing our business outside the US, we are experts on mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and joint ventures. We use this expertise to lead the planning, design, due diligence and implementation of strategic business development objectives.

Looking for an experienced Alliance Manager for the North America Marketing organization. This motivated individual will be responsible for overseeing the development of strategic business plans and marketing programs to support sales and marketing in designated segments. Identifies and develops alliances and relationship programs designed to produce sales opportunities. Responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining on-going company relationships with strategic partners. Builds go-to-market plans that satisfy partner needs, customer needs and Dell needs. Builds partner marketing plans and sales plays in cooperation with segment marketing and sales teams.


  • Work with technology alliance partners to build plans that support business revenue / margin targets and funding goals of the Alliances and Partner Management team

  • Creating alignment between Dell EMC ISG strategy and the partner’s business goals

  • Ensure end-to-end execution of programs in cooperation with Alliances partners and our ISG business and drive process improvements

  • Ensures consistency and governance for global and regional alliance programs and KPI attainment

  • Manage funding for Dell EMC and Alliance partners ensuring compliance to guidelines and KPIs

  • Provide analysis of our Alliance partners performance

  • Frequently interface with tech alliance partners and identify additional joint business opportunities for Dell EMC


  • Undergraduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience

  • Strong understanding for overall business planning and marketing execution, as well as thorough understanding of IT market

  • Ability to travel regionally to Dell EMC sales centers and events as needed

  • Relays customer feedback to assist with the future development of Dell’s technology, products, and services.

  • Good knowledge of and skilled in contract interpretation, negotiations and project management.

  • Good knowledge of strategic planning.

  • Good knowledge of company products and services.

  • Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills to interact with upper leadership, staff, vendors and clients.
