Business Development and Vendor Management – Intel

Dell, Inc. is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager where you'll act as a Business Development and Vendor Manager supporting Dell and Intel sales and marketing efforts of our clients in NA.

Key Responsibilities

This position will encompass Sales Engagement and Training, Product Marketing, and Program Development for specific client solutions from Dell and Intel. Focus lines of business are notebooks, desktops and workstations. This position will entail close partnership with Intel, Sales, Brand, Programs, Product, and Online teams.

This will be accomplished through engagement with Dell Sales teams, Dell's customer as well as Dell Marketing, and Client Solutions Specialty Sales Teams. This person will focus on telling the Intel story within Dell's Client Solutions product portfolio and be responsible for shaping the demand growth of Intel products and solutions sold through Dell.

You Will:

  • Provide in-depth expertise for assigned technologies and associated Dell products while promoting and positioning key strategic product and service offerings.

  • Evangelize and promote Intel products and initiatives with Dell to help drive success of sales programs such as spiffs, seed units, contests, product launches, and more.

  • Deliver technical presentations to sales teams with the purpose of training, informing of upcoming product launches, and increasing the knowledge base to drive greater demand.

  • Remain up-to-date on new product, technology, and services offerings

  • Develop and maintain a deal pipeline & tracker for sales engagement activities, to be reviewed on a regular cadence w/ key stake holders

  • Hold monthly and quarterly reviews with Intel and Dell key stakeholders where you'll review your strategy, planned activities, feedback, and progress toward goals

  • When able, travel is required up to 50% of the time to meet with, present to, and train our field sales teams

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills with all levels of sales teams from front line sales to executive leadership.

  • Technical level knowledge of workstation and computing technologies and a voracious ability to learn new technologies

  • History of providing pre-sales technical support during the sales process

  • Minimum of 4+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience with 2+ years in a marketing or business development equivalent role driving sales enablement

Desirable Requirements:

  • In-depth direction knowledge of Dell’s technology, products and services to help customers formulate solutions

  • History as a technical resource supporting a marketing and/or sales organization to meet and/or exceed their objectives
