As modern communication channels continue to evolve and expand, the Dell Technologies' corporate blogs play an important role in telling our stories of transformation and progress. To support this growth, the Dell Technologies Social Business Team within Global Communications is looking for an experienced communicator to oversee and enforce our corporate blog strategy. The Chief Blogger will be responsible for the overall strategy, health, and quality of our flagship corporate blogs. This individual will work cross-functionally with other Dell Technologies communicators, marketers, and executives to align blogs with our strategic priorities and important moments.
A highly visible role, the Chief Blogger will report directly to the Senior Director of Social Business and be a part of the Social Business Leadership Team. Working closely with a blog managing editor, she/he will establish and enforce an agreed-upon approach across our corporate blogs - balancing exceptional writing standards with practical processes for internal teams. At times, this individual will also work to align blog narrative across VMWare, Pivotal, Secureworks, RSA, and Virtustream for Pan-Dell Technologies initiatives.

Set the blog editorial course for Direct2Dell and Direct2DellEMC
Establish and oversee a master blog editorial calendar with inputs from Product Marketing, Social Editorial, Brand, and other GTM teams
Work closely with a blog managing editor to source, edit, and publish stories for our corporate blogs
Maintain high service-level standards for stakeholder requests while also delivering strategic recommendations early in the marketing and communications planning process
Introduce the spirit and intensity of a newsroom-style approach combined with the quality and creativity of an agency approach
Interlock regularly with Global Communications and Business Unit senior leadership to review blog performance, evolution, and opportunities
Build a strong culture and practice of using blog performance data to inform topics, cadence, and overall editorial approach
Working with our Insights and Reporting Team, establish agreed upon blog KPIs, develop self-service dashboards, and integrate blog data into relevant communications and social reports
Define, evangelize, and govern writing standards for Blog voice, style, and rich media elements (such as use of photos and videos) in alignment with Brand guidelines
Stay apprised of emerging industry and competitive trends for corporate blogs and pilot potential new approaches across our properties
Work with priority regional/country communicators and teams to build out local blog capabilities and standards
Excellent knowledge of traditional corporate communications vehicles and processes, including knowledge of social media and other emerging channels
Confident presenter with experience communicating with both practitioners and with senior leadership
Advanced organizational agility with the ability to engage across all levels of Dell Technologies and with external partners
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow a program involving multiple stakeholders
Advanced Web applications, social media, and content management skills
Knowledge of content publishing systems for scheduling, publishing, measurement, and monitoring; Experience with Wordpress, Typepad, and/or Sprinklr a plus
Experience working with stakeholders and agencies for content planning, development, and campaign coordination
Demonstrated excellence in communication through multi-channel communications, interactions with stakeholders
Highly organized with the ability to coordinate work across multiple ongoing projects
Diplomatic when making decisions and communicating to stakeholders
Strong grasp of web, social, and general content consumption metrics
Bachelor's degree w/ 12+ years of related experience or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
