Customer Success – Global Customer Programs Business Development Manager
The Global Programs Business Development Manager will be part of the Global Business Services Organization and will be primarily responsible for educating and promoting the Global Customer Program offerings within our Dell Sales teams, Dell cross functional groups and external customers in relation to the value of having Project/Program Managers that act as a single point of contact to support the needs of Dell’s Global Customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills as well as proven leadership and networking skills, as the role requires interaction at all organizational levels and the ability to scope unique opportunities that arise due to the different requirements of global customers. You will be responsible for aligning time to business goals, managing internal and external stakeholders, and solving unexpected roadblocks to enable our Sales teams to win and maintain global operations support for applicable opportunities.
The GCP (Global Customer Program) organization provides international customers with a defined point of Global/Regional co-ordination and escalation. Each region has a team of Program Managers who serve as customer facing resources and interact with respective Dell employees to facilitate the smooth day-to-day experience of doing business with Dell on a Regional and International basis. Expectation of the selected BDM candidate is to educate our internal and external customers on Dell’s Global Customer Program offerings and enroll them into a fee-based global program while leveraging Project Management Methodologies.
Leads the education and promotion of the Dell Global Customer Program value proposition with Dell Sales teams, Dell cross functional organizations and external customers on Dell’s formal global program/project capabilities.
Participates in defining and supporting the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group Helps serve as a proponent of a diverse and effective workforce
Manages the ongoing maintenance of the Dell Global Customer Program and Domestic PM Support value proposition
Formulates and defines scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business needs and business processes
Analyzes and defines business needs and assists in developing appropriate solutions.
Manages multiple projects, within given constraints of time, budget and quality
Scopes Project and Program PM support opportunities that enable Operational support definition.
Understands customer needs to properly scope both Project and Program management support opportunities, to include adequate cost recovery based on opportunity complexity and customer size.
Provides opportunity scoping results to the management team to distribute new work among project management team.
Interacts with business owners to ensure their needs are being met Brings together different functional perspectives both within and outside the Dell and Customer environments.
Oversees enrollments through implementation and ensures sustainability
Communicates enrollments to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis
Be SME for Dells Global Capabilities enabling support of Global Accounts
Understands the business implications of solutions, and assists in defining the solutions to support any future business requirements.
Establishes and promotes organizational standards and drives strategy to enable this team and Dell’s global capabilities, to be future-ready.

10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
5+ years of Project Management or Master’s Degree.
Qualified in Project Management Methodologies (CAPM, PMP) or equivalent certifications.
Ability to tactfully negotiate with customers and defuse escalations.
Candidates will have a proven track record of dealing with customers on an International basis, be able to demonstrate high levels of cultural awareness
