Dell Consultant Project/Program Mgmt - Digital-IT in Round Rock, Texas

The Digital Experience and Services group of Dell Digital's Marketing IT organization has an immediate opening for a seasoned Program Manager. This person will lead our Digital Experience Program (DEP), a Scaled Agile body with overall governance responsibilities for a number of Scrum Teams responsible for delivering key Dell Technologies web-assets.

As the overall DEP Program Manager you will use your substantive experience in Program Management, Scrum and SAFe to drive delivery excellence throughout the Marketing IT organization. You will continuously look for ways to optimize the processes -- inside and outside of DEP -- and never be satisfied with "but this is how we've always done it!". You will also work with senior leadership in IT and Marketing at both the strategic and tactical levels -- from future planning/direction to resource planning/hiring. It's a highly visible role and key to our group's success.

Key assets over which you will exert influence include,, and our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. Excellent communication skills and presence is critical to this role as you will have extensive interaction with internal customers and senior business/IT leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the DEP Scaled Agile Framework and drive efficiency there.

  • Drive consistency across the various Scrum Teams and other complimentary delivery teams.

  • Drive the development and execution of all portfolio, program/ and project plans by working with program and project teams to define, sequence, and estimate duration of activities and determine schedules to meet program objectives.

  • Ensure consistency and adherence to Dell standards, processes, and policies for all programs/projects.

  • Manage all aspects of program/project execution including: chartering, scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, change control, risk management and reporting.

  • Facilitate and manage resource planning, cost estimation, budget development, and cost control.

  • Prepare, present, distribute project, program, or portfolio information to all levels of the company and Customer management and staff.

  • Represents the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external resources.

  • Independently manages multiple larger Complex projects, programs, or small portfolios that require high levels of functional integration and organizational change management.

  • Manage the identification, resolution and escalation of program/project risks and issues.

  • Track program/project budget and resource utilization against plan.

  • Plan and execute program/project communications ensuring timely and accurate distribution of information, documentation, and issue resolution to all appropriate team members.

  • May be responsible for multiple Project Managers dedicated to a common program/project or fewer large/highly complex customer Projects/Deliverables.


  • 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

  • PMP certified desirable.

  • Certified Scrum Master desirable.

  • SAFe certification desirable.

  • DevOps experience a plus as it is a key part of our process.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities

  • Ability to engage executive level stakeholders on complex matters in a substantive manner with little to no oversight and limited guidance.

  • Ability to anticipate -- problems, needs, issues with a goal of being blind-sided only by things that couldn't have been anticipated.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ensures rigorous attention to detail in all work activities and products.

  • Results-driven and accountability-minded.

  • Prior experience in leading high value, complex IT programs and projects in an agile environment.
