Dell Data Science Consultant - Round Rock, TX in Round Rock, Texas
The Global Support and Optimization Data Scientist will be expected to apply strong consulting skills to broad set of business improvement opportunities and demonstrated capacity for machine learning and statistical modeling towards creating and analyzing products, operations improvement, cost reduction and business optimization.
Work with stakeholders to lead and support multiple analytics engagements, which among others will include design, test and executive algorithms.
Independently develop and drive the model development life cycle, testing of algorithms' efficacy (i.e., by applying to test/sampled data and assessing accuracy/fit/predictive strength) for differing analytical use-cases
Hand large volumes of data inputs to develop features for modelling and other business analytics.
Assist in driving initiatives both internally and within cross-functional teams, mindful of priorities and resources.
Help build a data driven organization where decision making is pivoted upon sound quantitative evidence.
Demonstrated ability to independently translate business questions into analytical framework to generate meaningful insights.
Independently develop meaningful summary power point presentations on projects.
Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Strong statistical skills and familiarity with supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods, operational research, demand forecasting, information retrieval, statistics, NLP or related field
Expert proficiency in using online and offline data including text/voice/web log data to drive demonstrated business outcomes
Hands-on experience in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
Familiar with big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark in Java/Python/Scala
Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Data sciences / Computer engineering / Management Information Systems background with a passion for analyses, conversant / data mining techniques.
