Dell Engineering Project Management Consultant - Round Rock, TX in Round Rock, Texas
Lead cross-functional IT, Technology, Engineering Tools and Process and Offer design teams to develop and introduce products and solutions to our external customers with the right features, customer experience, quality, schedule, cost, continuity of supply, service capability and sales volumes/financials.
Lead the worldwide management and execution of cross-functional programs throughout the product/solution lifecycle using the Offer Lifecycle Process (OLP). PMI Methodology is the backbone of OLP
Demonstrate adherence to all organizational PMO activities with regards to Governance, Standards, Process, PM Communities, and ELT alignment to standards, policies, and procedures. Be a PMO champion for the organization.
Establish working relationships with and influences/persuades/presents at the Manager, Director, General Manager, Vice President, and Senior Vice President level.
Lead a core team through definition/requirements, planning, development, launch, and sustain.
Lead a sustaining core team to manage feature enhancements, quality, continuity of supply, etc.
Lead the execution of the Offer Lifecycle Process (OLP). Assisting in the integration of complex business factors to develop and implement long-term strategic LOB or market segment objectives is required.
Drive a core product design team to deliver a product(s), service(s), or solution(s) to external customers. Leads cross-functional, Worldwide core team(s), kicks off programs, establishes schedules and drives meetings.
Drive the core product/program/design team to meet or exceed program objectives (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products & service offerings, and Customer Specific Needs).
Manage multiple programs in parallel.
Develop Offer Life-cycle deliverable document(s), schedules timely executive review, and delivers phase reviews along with interim updates.
Track progress, reports status and makes necessary corrections to achieve program objectives.
Lead the cross functional team to define the product/solution definition and requirements.
Manage the creation, review and approval of the Phase Exit materials.
Work with core product design team and executive leadership to establish quality and customer experience goals for the program.
Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency planning and proper escalation.
Ensure core product design team members communicate post mortem findings to the appropriate departments.
Attach each phase exit document lessons learned. and review lessons learned for the next phase.
Manage and communicate program changes post Plan Exit using PCR’s to ensure cross functional/org alignment.
Analyze and report actual performance vs. Program goals.
Drive team to deliver quality results at, or better than, quality goals.
Interact, present, and influence all levels of the organization from IC to VP, across all CS Business Units, Functional Teams, and all organizations outside of CS as part of the E2E customer journey.
Works with senior leadership in setting strategy and deployment of the Operation roadmaps and business directions
Will need to maintain close relationships and interlocks with team peers who are responsible for IT Management and Program Management to ensure all aspects of IT, PMO, & Process Engineering are in alignment to Strategy, Transformation, Offer, and Program requirements.
Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge in Program Management methodologies and PMO Governance structure and standards.
Strong experience with delivery program deliverables involving IT, Development, Manufacturing, Tools & Applications, Process Engineering, Design, Solutions, and Business Improvement.
Strong Knowledge in IT Development Methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Pivotal, etc
Strong command skills to drive the implementation and execution of programs and initiatives
Six Sigma certification, ITIL cert, or SCRUM cert,
Strong relationship building skills and partnering skills
Demonstrated strong organizational and business decision-making skills.
