Our team manages projects or leads others managing projects — ensuring cross-functional teams work collaboratively and effectively. We oversee initial plans, set budgets, track project activities and communicate milestones to key stakeholders.

The Global Business Services (GBS) Talent Programs PM is focused on developing, modifying and executing talent and career development programing that supports our senior leadership team and serves the 4000+ team members of Global Business Services. They advance the talent management agenda resulting in greater succession readiness and improved mix of diverse, ready now talent. The PM collaborates with our Human Resource Business Partners, fellow PMs in GBS University Relations, Engagement, and Academy, other Dell L&D organizations, and points of contact across the business to deliver programming aligned with corporate Diversity & Inclusion targets, our annual strategic plans, and the future-focused skills and capability needs of the organization. The PM stays current on trends in the L&D / Talent / HR industries, and keeps abreast of internal activities taking place throughout Dell EMC talent and learning networks, both at site and corporate levels.

Key program work for the current financial year include:

  • Expansion of UR programming to include a rotation program for 5/6 grade participants

  • Execution of current and design of new, mid-career 7/8 grade professional development programs

  • Execution of Alumni programs

  • Development and potential expansion of an additional intern program outside of US and India

  • Mentors and guides I7-I8 team members related to recent graduate strategy, plans and execution

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop, modify and execute programs to support organizational goals

  • Ensure programs build critical capabilities in our people to support the organization current and future needs

  • Identify development needs and design complex training and development programs within a broad subject area with senior leadership

  • Engage with senior executives, routinely

  • Streamline and optimize existing processes

  • Collaborate closely with the team to improve effectiveness of our other programming and courses

  • Lead program development teams, and engage business SME’s as needed

  • Provide strategic vision for linkage of intern programs, new rotation program and recent grad professional development programs

  • Provide guidance to University Relations PM’s on demand planning, and execution

  • Define measurement KPI’s for recent graduate programs

  • Creates process for cataloging and tracking top and diverse talent career plans and movement

Key competencies

  • Excellent curriculum design and training development & delivery skills. Ability to tailor content for learning and resonance

  • Excellent understanding of Adult Learning Theory

  • Possesses Advanced industry knowledge, and has excellent external research and benchmarking capabilities

  • Advanced communication, problem solving and presentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly and present at the senior leadership levels, and down through the organization to our lowest levels

Experience and Education

  • Past experience designing and developing educational, training or developmental career programming in collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders

  • Prior experience managing recent graduate programs and candidates

  • Experience managing global programs

  • Minimum 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
