This role is a lead position in the IT Digital Portfolio Governance (DPG) organization which streamlines processes for Dell Digital delivery teams to ensure consistent best practices and manages the Dell Digital roadmap portfolio of $700M in investments. DPG is responsible for the planning and governance of the roadmap. Stakeholders include DD executive leaders, DD senior management, TPMs and Chief Product Owners, the Business Architecture Office and Business Lifecycle leaders. The Governance Portfolio Lead (GPL) role acts as a consultant to executives within DD and provides in-depth analysis and support for the group supported. Successful candidates should have a combination of analytic skills, strong communication skills, leadership presence, and software project delivery experience.

DPG drives alignment between business priorities (demand) and IT capacity (supply) in order to create a consolidated IT demand pipeline leveraging lean standards, processes, and tools in order to provide data for teams to enable decision making and the delivery of key business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Lead teams through Transformation to delivering products in the Dell Digital Way

Advise delivery teams on Agile best practices

Drive use and accuracy of Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) for delivery portfolio management (DD-wide approved tool that is the source of record); will be instrumental as a subject matter expert

Seek insight from DD Portfolio Managers, PMs, and Resource Managers for continuous process improvement and best practices

Serves as DD governance point of contact for annual roadmap planning, communication on portfolio health of the roadmap execution, and maintenance of the roadmap data.

Serves as the DD governance point of contact for the Business Process PMO Leads

Responsible for working with assigned team(s) to understand critical roadmap investments and business drivers for those investments

Responsible for reporting on delivery status and compliance of a portfolio of capabilities/investments against planned outcomes

Define and communicate process and common toolsets to gain consistency across reporting areas

Work with business and DD stakeholders to set and manage realistic expectations of both parties

Works with assigned analyst to define plans of action and support execution of the tasks

Qualifications

Extensive experience delivering products through Agile development

Fluent TFS user; ability to build queries and navigate quickly

Familiarity with Tableau reporting

Collaborative but able to work independently

Ability to work and lead through ambiguity

Strategic thinker

Consultative with strong command and presentation skills

Strong facilitator and communicator

Ability to take complex and ambiguous issues and topics, promote understanding and drive actions among stakeholders

Ability to work with Governance Portfolio Analysts and delegate tasks as appropriate

Senior analytical skills - ability to manage both very detailed and macro information with ease. Proficiency in Excel is mandatory

Program Management or Product Owner experience are preferred

Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
