As part of the Support and Deployment Services Group, you will be responsible for supporting and enabling the product offer road map through various activities focusing on analytics. The position will require data driven insights to drive improved performance and growth by building business performance monitoring capability and driving attach rate, shaping demand through promo/pricing activities and maximizing profitability. You will work closely with regional Executives in the Infrastructure Solutions Group (specifically leaders in CoC-Center of Competence, Marketing, Sales and Finance) as well as other parts of the SDS Organization (Product Group, Sales Operations, Delivery, and Sales).
As a Marketing Operations Sr. Advisor – Business Intelligence you will have a front seat to the evolution of the Support and Deployment Services organization as we continue to integrate Dell and EMC systems, tools, and data sets and march towards truly unified analytics capabilities. Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Working with stakeholders and understanding information needs using ability to work through ambiguous requests.
Developing analytics and reporting solutions using MS Excel pivot tables, power pivots, OLAP, SQL and visualization tools such as Tableau.
Analyzing business, product and market data to provide actionable insights to leaders. Synthesizing extremely granular data and translating into clear and concise story lines and action items for internal and external teams.
Building and owning relationships on both ends of the analytics spectrum – data scientists and BI teams who provide data as well as product/program managers and sales teams who consume insights.
Passionate about analytics, very comfortable in dealing with large amount of data.
Pro-level proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint and Tableau. Prior examples of advanced BI and operational reporting will need to be supplied.
Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and provide actionable insights; Strong organization skills and ability to self-prioritize multiple work requests.
Ability to build reporting and analytics e.g. dashboards, excel based tools, Tableau.
Proven ability to deal with ambiguity. Self-starter who is comfortable working with senior leadership teams with little guidance.
Dynamic executive presence with clear communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree with typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
Prior roles in analytics, pricing, finance, business planning or sales operations are plus.
