Pricing Architecture Consultant – Global Pricing Transformation
As Pricing Architecture Consultant, you will be a key member of the Global Pricing Transformation (GPT) team at Dell Technologies. You will help to lead pricing strategy framework formulation as well as help to assist in defining new pricing/business procedures, evaluating resource requirements and stimulating implementation/maintenance of Dell’s pricing systems. As a part of your day-to-day job responsibilities, you will reach to our global stakeholders to understand their pricing needs and will help to define multi-year pricing roadmap that is aligned with the solution, product, technology and strategic roadmap.
Developing and maintaining a global, comprehensive, and value-creating pricing strategy framework that enables business to execute pricing strategy in line with DellEMC overall objectives
Managing and prioritizing pricing projects in alignment to long term DellEMC strategy with good comprehension for marketing, finance and sales pricing needs as well as its technical implications. Ability to function as an interface between business and IT teams is essential
Engaging with business teams to drive the pricing transformation agenda, establish and maintain system and management process, observe customer usage and behavior, assess potential risk and opportunity, provide business analysis and make recommendations for change.
Acting as the liaison between Pricing and other business functions in tactical or special project situations related to their lines of business; identifying areas of disconnect in goals and work toward resolution
Recognizing business gaps and identifying solutions; gathering business requirements and translating to a language understandable to technical SME for development; presenting solution proposals to the business in an understandable and desirable manner
Capable to work individually as well as to engage others and lead project teams to deliver desired outcomes in a timely manner
Report to the leadership on project milestones and create executive overviews and schedule plans
Lead and host business and I/T workshops and drive agenda with cross-functional stakeholders
Drive alignment with senior leadership level and functional and technical leaders
Taking necessary actions to ensure integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters
Owning the creation of a multi-year pricing roadmap that is aligned with the solution, product, technology and strategic roadmap
Product development prioritization – assessing the feasibility, desirability and viability of new features/solutions
Assessing the people and process (time and dependencies) constraints
Ensuring Dell maintains strategic prominence with the customer in line with overall brand strategy
10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
Proven ability to operate in a cross-functional environment and drive issues to resolution - work collaboratively across teams in a highly matrixed environment to ensure deliverables are met, schedule is followed, and roadblocks cleared in a timely fashion to provide successful outcome
Excellent project management ability combined with ability to coordinate numerous projects
Strong ability to influence via excellent presentation and executive communication skills
Experienced in capturing business requirements (BRDs)
Comfort with ambiguity - ability to jump in and drive without day to day guidance and flex as business needs change over time
Comfortable working with at all levels of the organization and across cultures
High level of business and financial acumen required
Skilled with use of Excel and PowerPoint; SmartSheets and MS Office Project Management Tools
Experience with and good understanding of current Dell / EMC pricing environment is a strong advantage
Experience with using business/sales tools such as DSA/Gii/GOAL/DAM/SFDC/Premier systems
Prior COC experience or engaging with regional COC’s
Experience with SmartPrice or Vendavo tools
