The Public Relations Senior Advisor for Dell Small Business leads all external communications for Dell Small Business and Inspiron/Vostro product lines programs and initiatives. The position is responsible for developing communications strategies and ensuring execution of a public relations plan to support Dell Small Business global strategy and expansion plans. This includes regional influencer strategies to support Dell Small Business objectives. The position also plans executes all product PR activities related to the Inspiron and Vostro product lines.

The Public Relations Senior Advisor engages with marketing to plan for campaign execution, and collaborate across global communications – to present the business with cohesive messages and storytelling opportunities for Dell Small Business.

The Public Relations Senior Advisor works with Dell product PR teams to ensure proper messaging is woven through product news, and then share with media. The person in this position will manage PR and influencer agency teams, provide guidance to multiple stakeholders and marketing leaders, and support cross-coordination/integration with corporate communications and regional counterparts, marketing and product PR peers.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain close partnerships with the Dell Small Business marketing teams, product teams and executive leadership

  • Provide PR guidance and strategic counsel to executives, marketing teams, peers and other communications team members

  • Manage PR agency team related to Small Business new, Vostro/Inspiron news

  • Manage influencer agency team related to Small Business and entrepreneur influencer activities in support of the Dell objectives.

  • Develop relationships and work closely with PR and marketing counterparts and key vendors on launches, campaigns and events

  • Coordinate with internal communications, social media, analyst relations, events, go-to-market, creative, sales, and more to develop comprehensive communications plans tied to key announcements

  • Respond to press inquiries related to Dell Small Business or Vostro/Inspiron product lines

  • Effectively manage agency team to develop press materials (presentations, releases, fact sheets, talking points, briefing books, and more) as well as broader messaging and competitive documents, as needed

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with key media

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience either in a public relations role or at an international PR agency

  • A degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Marketing or a related field

  • Demonstrate an ability to think strategically, practically and creatively

  • Prior technology experience, preferably in communications

  • The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, issue management, strategic planning, relationship and consensus-building, problem-solving and oral/written presentation skills

  • Candidate must be organized, enthusiastic, results oriented, innovative and able to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines while working effectively in a team environment
