Dell Quality Engineering Program Manager - Round Rock, TX in Round Rock, Texas

Key Responsibilities

  • Integral part of the GPE Programs to provide support to Process Leaders as needed for overall coordination

  • Assist PMO with Rationalization of initiatives & allocation of resources

  • Execute Change Management Accountability & Implementation in conjunction with L4 POCs

  • Communicate progress to L4 stakeholders on assigned programs and overall at the GPE level

  • Consult for solving risks and roadblocks at Program level

  • Obtain stakeholder and executive buy in for new process implementation or existing process change with compelling business case/need and necessary detail around process maps and project plans. This work is done in partnership with PLs and PEs in the GPE org along with extended stakeholders in the Core team

  • Be the Process Champion and liaison with cross functional suppliers of input into process development and implementation

  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops/ activities to perform current state vs desired state gap assessment by conducting process mapping exercises-Identify opportunities to streamline processes using lean methodologies in conjunction with lean experts on the core teams

  • Partner with E2E systems engineers and peer engineers from other functional towers to ensure E2E sanctity of the process pan-GSD

  • Assist the teams in creating storyboards for content through various different media (PowerPoint, Word, Visio etc.) as needed for delivering to a wide executive audience

Responsibilities for Customer Journey Testing

  • Collaborate with Process Engineers, Offer SPMs and Business SMEs to develop effective strategies and test plans

  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results

  • Summarize key findings from gaps Customer experience based on the detailed testing of the customer journey

  • Work with cross functional teams and executive owners to gain alignment on the identified gaps and best action forward

  • Conduct post release/ post implementation testing

  • Strategic design and implementation of the Customer Journey Testing Program as E2E program, all the way from Testing Set up processes to the Defect Tracking Methodology

Essential Requirements

  • Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

  • Degree in Business or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related field preferred

  • Organizational Agility with Stellar Communication Skills

  • Experience in Project Management and QA methodology

  • Drive Results, Influential Skills & Programs to closure; Cross functional Collaboration Team Ambassadors with Strategic & Visionary thinking

  • Prior experience in leading process improvement projects and driving/ participating in Value Stream Mapping exercises and / or Kaizen events preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team while providing task oriented direction to others in order to complete projects within required time-frames

  • Attention to detail along with ability to self-regulate, self-motivate and self-prioritize

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills verbal, written and visual aids/ tools like PowerPoint, Visio etc.

  • Adept at building liaisons while work cross functionally with other organizations

  • Competency in executing test cases and passionate about Quality
