Using our skill in conveying technical information to a non-technical audience, we evaluate, analyze, define and document requirements, and then develop systems specifications and configurations for our customers that are cost effective and meet their needs. It’s all about having expertise in both end-user needs and business systems, applications and industry requirements.
As a Requirements Manager/Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business process and aligning our technology strategy to fit. Your role is to analyze and understand integral business processes and strategy and effectively communicate those business needs to IT developers. You will work closely with multiple business and IT teams and will be responsible for technology decisions that will enable Dell’s customers to receive world class innovative support and deployment services. You will be a key player in shaping Dell’s overall technology strategy. This position reports to the Director of Global Support & Deployment Technology Strategy.
Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses
Work with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most appropriate technology solution
Solicit, develop, document, and manage requirements including detailed design and business rules to support the business requirements
Understand and position solutions based on current and future business need
Work with business users to create appropriate use cases and user stories to test results ensuring quality product launches
Review system test plans and align appropriate business and IT resources for user acceptance testing
Manage change request process to ensure that appropriate documentation is updated when change requests are adopted
Review and provide input on process design work prior to requirement adoption
5+ years working with business requirements and/or process documentation
Typically 12+ years relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of the Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC)
Familiarity with ITIL standards and best-practices
Ability to clearly communicate design rationale and build consensus
Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a clearly understandable written form
Prior experience working as a Business Systems Analyst
Prior work experience in a large IT or software development organization
Advanced knowledge of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture
ITIL Foundations certification
