Dell Senior Advisor, Product Marketing -- Modern Compute Solutions Group in Round Rock, Texas
The Modern Computing Solutions Group is working diligently to create new and modern solutions for our customers at the edge of computing (CSG).
As we develop new technologies and capabilities, we too will build net new offers across multiple orgs to offer to our expansive, global market varying in size and vertical and customer.
The Product Marketing Manager for Dell leads global product marketing strategy and go-to-market efforts for our growing business of modernization solutions. Working with the Product Manager and cross-functional global marketing teams, they lead the efforts to build and launch offers, create and articulate the messaging, positioning and uniqueness of modernized solutions within Dell; drive go-to-market campaigns; develop and deliver sales training; produce sales tools, collateral and competitive profiles; and promote our products to achieve business success and profitable growth.
Direct the messaging, positioning and uniqueness of Dell modernization solutions with a focus on modernization and aaS capabilities.
Understand who we are selling to and how customers want and need to buy, defining the Target Addressable Market
Develop the right set of offer and pricing choices can attract customers and create cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
Drive perceived value with our customers with the right products and services we offer.
Research the competitive landscape specific to pricing and offer strategy.
Launch the first offer sets while creating ongoing performance metrics so that iterative changes and improvements can be made.
Access pricing experts skilled at distilling complex qualitative and quantitative data into a list of options, and then advancing those options into a set of actionable decisions.
Minimize friction in the sales process and establish a transparent and trusting relationship with our customers.
Serve as the subject matter expert on markets, customers, competition, messaging and positioning for sales, sales engineering, partnership development, product management and global training teams.
Drive go-to-market planning and execution in support of awareness, market-share and revenue growth objectives.
Develop and implement high-impact and differentiated stories that convey the positioning and messaging of the company’s security solutions in vertical and horizontal market segments
Provide ongoing market insights to product management for consideration in roadmap planning.
Develop high-impact sales tools such as web content, blog entries, eBooks, videos, white papers, presentations, case studies, business cases, TCO/ROI analysis, competitive profiles and sales playbooks.
Evangelize the company’s vision, architecture and overall product strategy.
Work across a virtual team of communications professionals, field marketers and trainers to build and execute integrated marketing plans.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience related to information/software technology
MBA or equivalent experience growing businesses
8+ years’ experience in product marketing, communications, or product management for sophisticated technologies (software preferred)
Experience with aaS offer and launch
Ability to create compelling story arcs that convey the value of complex technologies in concise business terms
Ability to translate complex data sets and research into actionable insights and campaigns
Proactive communicator with strong analytical skills
Strong business acumen and decision-making ability
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Passion for writing, creating presentations and developing other materials
Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership, sales and product management to enable their respective successes
Proven project management skills and the ability deliver sales tools and required content
Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries and execute through teams
