Senior Business Analyst – Telecom Expense Management

Location: Round Rock, TX or Southboro, MA

General Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst will execute comprehensive product delivery programs and activities for our Telecom Expense Management (TEM) product line. TEM includes the full telecom lifecycle including provisioning, activation, deployment, configuration, asset management, and systems management of TEM process and tools. Additionally, this role will be responsible for collecting and distilling TEM market needs and defining the Dell products to support those needs (whether internally or via partners).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operational support of Dell’s internal and external Telecom Expense Management and Telecom Lifecycle functions

  • Partners with TEM analyst team consisting of Dell and partner team members located in multiple regions

  • Acts as a team leader and exhibits willingness to drive new approaches and ideas, removes roadblocks for improvements and consistently challenges processes/services

  • Develops Telecom spend, usage and inventory reporting to be accomplished through the variety of TEM tools and functions

  • Performs project and non-project related tasks and activities to support the department’s goals and objectives

  • Responsible for regional/worldwide delivery of a TEM Services to internal and external customers

  • TEM subject matter expert and knowledge of the TEM product portfolio, market segments and trends

  • Analyzes and understands customer-behaviors to identify and support development of relevant value propositions

  • Drives product enhancement priorities based upon customer feedback, usage patterns, available technologies and market opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience

  • 3+ years of professional work experience specifically coming from Telecom Expense Management (TEM)

  • Strong expertise of the telecom lifecycle and telecom expense management industry

  • Proven proficiency with numbers, experience in analyzing large amounts of data, and an ability to consolidate and translate that data into business insight

  • Extensive knowledge of the methodologies to enable the TEM at the technical layers (e.g. provisioning, change management, asset/inventory management, reporting, optimization, contract management)

  • Experience developing and delivering global IT programs

  • Strong business/financial acumen

  • Demonstrated strategic and organization agility

  • Strong communication, execution, quantitative skills combined with creativity and negotiation abilities

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US with no restrictions; visa sponsorship not offered with this position
