Dell Senior Consultant, Business Operations in Round Rock, Texas

This role is for the global lead supporting our Global Accounts group within the GCCS organization. Principal responsibilities include worldwide controllership, lead role in structuring complex deals, and partnering with Sales VP/Sales Directors/Pricing/various other teams to manage and achieve the financial and strategic goals, lead strategic initiatives, and drive improvements in the business. This individual will play a key role in communicating the results and trends of the business, and perform analysis on key metrics/statistics that drive business decisions at a consolidated worldwide level. Must be open to participate in customer calls/reviews. Will need to evaluate Special Contracts Terms, T&B, COD, and credit requests and make decisions to minimize DSO, Bad Debt exposure and revenue recognition risk. In addition to partnering with Sales, this role will frequently be required to partner with various cross functional teams such as Contracts, Accounting, Marketing, Pricing, Tax, and the BUs. This role will also include a certain component of quota/comp review and approvals. This individual will be required to provide support to all North America GCCS controllers as the subject matter expert for complex deals. This responsibility will consist of provide detailed guidance and direction to both controllers and sales teams whenever a complex deal arises. The individual must have strong business partnering and collaboration skills, the ability to deal with ambiguity, adept at handling multiple tasks, excellent communication skills (able to summarize/present data in a concise and clear manner for exec review/approval), be highly analytical, have strong attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and strong technical skills required for building out policy and procedures when structuring complex deals.

Qualifications

The individual must have strong business partnering and collaboration skills, the ability to deal with ambiguity, adept at handling multiple tasks, excellent communication skills (able to summarize/present data in a concise and clear manner for exec review/approval), be highly analytical, have strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly (i.e. product transition information, new product information, contractual requirements, etc.)

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of finance experience

• Excellent financial/business acumen with sound knowledge global businesses

• Attention to detail and drive for results

• Must be able to summarize/present data in a concise & clear

• Deep understanding of Dell’s business is highly desirable

• Must be adaptable to a dynamic organization and changing priorities

• Strong prioritization and organization skills
