The Senior Internal Communications Project Manager develops, implements and manages internal communication strategy for Dell IT's Team Member Experience (TMX) Organization leader. This role will be primarily responsible for Planning & Communications within the organization and align closely to the Project Management team to help enable TMX delivery in a variety of key programs and projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Works very closely with the Executive to understand tone, vision and strategy for the organization; regularly consults with and advises the executive leadership team and other stakeholders on corporate communication matters to ensure strategic alignment
Develops all internal communications and content across organization, ensuring consistency of message and alignment to overall company strategy
Writes, edits and produces executive leadership communications including, but not limited to organizational announcements, change management, key initiatives, management emails, management talking points, PowerPoint presentations, and other multi-media communications
Collaborates with executive and team leaders throughout the TMX organization to develop and coordinate a content management strategy for internal communications across all communications channels including digital updates on Dell’s intranet site, email, social, blogs and newsletters
Drives content and story delivery as well as TMX brand development
Runs internal meetings for TMX organization, including Staff meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, offsite meetings, etc.
Ensures the integration and consistency of global communications to a variety of stakeholders, including internal customers, team members, and key influencers
Stays informed and aware of organizational operations and initiatives and identifies areas where additional internal communication is needed, serves as point of contact for suggestions from other staff, and develops a plan to meet those needs
Solicits feedback on internal communications and recommends new systems and vehicles to improve the quality, consistency and timeliness of information
Demonstrates vision of end goal and communicates same to team
Encourages the adoption of relevant social media best practices into the organization’s culture and manages the organization’s internal social media related projects
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field with 8+ years relevant experience; or equivalent experience
Internal Communications/Public Relations/Marketing experience
Excellent writing, editing, copywriting and proofreading skills
Excellent PowerPoint skills and ability to create compelling presentations
Demonstrated experience working with multiple forms of communication: PowerPoint, social media, blogs, email, intranet content, etc.
Strong digital marketing knowledge, familiar with the latest internal social media tools
Proven creative and innovative approach to communications and message delivery
Excellent communicator with proven content and communication production & campaign skills
Proven ability to communicate complex business strategy in a powerful, accessible way
Must be organized, enthusiastic, results-oriented, innovative and able to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines while working effectively in a team environment
Ability to manage upwards and provide constructive challenge to senior leadership
Driven and resilient character who is open to new ideas and excited by challenge
Must be legally authorized to work in the US with no restrictions; visa sponsorship not offered with this position
Internal communications and staff marketing experience within large corporate organization
Event management experience is a plus
Project & Program Management experience
Good understanding of IT Products & Services; strong knowledge of industry trends for displaying data
