Dell Senior Principal Engineer - OEM Product Applications Engineer in Round Rock, Texas

Dell Technologies OEM Solutions helps companies in more than 40 industry verticals go to market faster and more efficiently by building Dell Technologies' hardware, software, and services into their solutions. Using Dell Tech’s Tier 1 technology and supply chain as the foundation, a dedicated OEM organization works with customers to design the system appropriate for powering their intellectual property.

With Dell Technologies OEM managing the design, manufacturing, distribution, and support of the technology, customers can focus on what they do best: Innovation. Dell Technologies OEM has a dedicated business unit with 600+ global team members (including 100+ dedicated engineers) that have been serving customers from start-ups to large enterprises since 1984.

As a Product Applications Engineer within this dedicated engineering team, you will interface with OEM sales teams and customers, helping to provide the deep, technical knowledge required for them to develop their solutions on the Dell Technologies portfolio and better enable them to focus on their own design and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support OEM customers by answering technical and behavioral questions on the Dell Technologies portfolio

  • Provide engineering-level info about Dell Technologies-specific features and design implementations

  • Bridge the gap between customer/sales engineers and development engineering

  • Consult on technical issues that customers are seeing with their unique solutions

  • Present training and guidance on the technical aspects of the Dell Technologies portfolio

  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including program management, marketing, sales, vendors/suppliers, etc.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers in all regions of the world

Requirements

  • Expertise and/or familiarity with one or more LOBs in the Dell Technologies portfolio

  • 12+ years relevant engineering experience

  • BS in electrical/computer engineering or computer science

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus
