Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior Program Manager / Portfolio Manager to join the Program Management Office (PMO) supporting our Security and Resiliency Office. This role will join Dell’s Security & Resiliency Office to drive strong portfolio and program execution in support of the Security & Resiliency Office strategic roadmap, supporting our Cyber, Physical, Product, Supply Chain, Enterprise Resiliency and IT functions. This is accomplished through collaboration with technology leadership and customers to ensure planning and oversight of the portfolio and the ability to drive large scale strategic programs in support of the SRO roadmap. Primary responsibilities include portfolio management, program/project delivery, budget management, planning and participation in cross-functional initiatives as well as contributing to the adoption of SRO project delivery best practices that enable world class delivery, along with a continuous process improvement practice. This role reports to the Director of PMO, Strategy and Business Operations, Security and Resiliency Office (SRO).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic guidance and tracks critical cross-functional portfolio investments (i.e. programs and projects) in bringing distinct, specific programs to completion

  • Typically responsible for highly complex, large budget projects with global impact, involving multiple functions or processes

  • Manages portfolios and/or programs, or specific activities related to same within given constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality through the duration of the project

  • Provides guidance in managing programs and/or projects from planning/initiation through delivery; conducts regular reviews with finance, technology partners and customers to ensure program is on track

  • Influences continuous improvement of project/program process, practices and initiatives

  • Contributes to the creation of project management standards and processes by maintaining in-depth awareness of industry trends, business conditions and internal processes and practices to meet portfolio/project/program delivery requirements

  • Develops strong relationships within the Strategy & Business Operations team and across SRO to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness and help resolve operational issues

  • Works in a team environment and influences others to achieve results; may oversee or mentor team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years relevant experience; or Master's degree with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in program/project management, portfolio management, process mapping, strategic planning or similar field

  • Ability to lead and influence a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities

  • Ability to devise and implement processes and process improvements in order to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Results driven and accountability-minded

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Prior experience in security, risk management or technology preferred but not required

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)
