Dell’s Dell Commerce Services (DCS) is hiring a DevOps Engineer to be part of their Online Selling (Dell.com) software development team. This candidate will be responsible for delivering in a dynamic, fast paced, scalable agile ecommerce environment. Our current team is responsible for future state development, implementing and deploying new enhancements to future state online sales tools for the dell.com website, interacting with development across regions, work closely with our business partners to understand requirements, and develop/enhance existing systems in timely manner.
The team needs individuals with deep e-commerce and DevOps knowledge to guide and deliver a high-volume, highly personalized e-commerce experience. We are looking for candidates who have a strong background in Enterprise/Systems/Application Architecture, with proven abilities to innovate and be creative. We are looking for highly motivated, goal-oriented individuals who will be responsible for building highly visible, highly available, and customer facing E-Commerce solutions.
Candidates should be excellent team players, yet capable of working independently, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once. Candidates will work with very little direction, will be comfortable leading conference calls, and can drive the direction of very large projects being developed by multi-shore teams.

DCSG provides its customers a cohesive branded experience across Consumer, Premier, Solutions, eSupport and Offline Sales. Dell.com is extending the reach of its Commerce Platform to command an extensive variety of applications and solutions that are central to the growth of Dell as a technology and solutions company.
Work directly with agile Application Development teams to provide daily support while working towards the model of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
Work closely with Application Development, Program & Product Management, Infrastructure and Operations teams to provide fully automated build and deployment routines for Development, Staging, and Production environments
Define and evolve Build & Release best practice by working within teams and educating the other stakeholder teams. These best practices should support traceability & auditability of change.
Identify, plan and implement automation in build/deploy and environment management activities.
Responsible for deploying code and other proactive maintenance activities to keep the website and services up and running
Balance the provisioning of day-to-day activities of a Shared Service team with more structured project work and change initiatives
Promote a Dev Ops culture through building relationships with Development & Operations and driving enhancements to the end-to-end release process.
Ensure continuous availability of various tools & web portals supporting Source Control, CICD, Pre-Prod and Production websites.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required.
2+ years of hands on experience in software industry in build and release for .NET applications
Sound Knowledge on Source Control Tools such as GIT, GITHUB, SVN, TFS and SCM concepts (branching, merging, integration, versioning, etc.)
Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Octopus or TeamCity. Should have hands on and good understanding on DevOps tools and automation frameworks to build the CICD pipeline
Must be proficient with scripting languages such as PowerShell, DB – SQL Server and with build tools such as MSBuild, ANT or Maven.
Working knowledge of cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
Experience with software quality and security scans using SonarQube, NDepend, Code Coverage etc.
Working knowledge of Dockers and Container is highly preferred
Knowledge and experience on working with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 is highly preferred.
Should have working experience with monitoring tools like SPLUNK, RiverBed, AppDynamics or any other tools is desired.
Experience working in Agile environments
