The Small Business Strategy Consultant for Dell Profit Pools translates business strategies into product strategies, assortments, and promotional campaigns that deliver against both our core customer needs and our company strategic and financial goals. We are looking for an individual with knowledge of services, displays, client peripherals, software, DFS and all other lines of products and services that could help Dell SB profitability in Small Business.

Responsibilities

  • Plan for Profit Pools growth with all Subject Matter Experts (SME) into areas as: Services, SnP, DFS and all other lines of products and services to grow in a better velocity than the regular business growth.

  • Apply deep understanding of customers’ needs, technology infrastructure and the competitive landscape.

  • Use customer feedback & market research, plus customer usage/segmentation and competitive analysis from NPD & IDC research databases to inform assortment decisions and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, plan and implement new business initiatives by negotiating approvals to run quarterly promotional campaigns.

  • Coordinate with the product team to manage multiple and varied technology transitions by platform and/or product line.

  • Integrate deep subject matter expertise with: latest technology trends for business, product knowledge around enterprise level products, Industry experience, relevant related disciplines, business goals and strategy, adapt and integrate own experience with Dell-wide strategy, analyzes and forecast business and market trends.

  • Decisions are strategic in nature, have long-term consequence, and tend to relate to business strategy, financial performance and effective resource utilization.

  • Influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders toward achieving business goals.

  • Ensure understanding of business IT solutions and technical matters by non-technical, executive decision makers.

  • Develop mutually beneficial strategic alliances with cross functional partners.

  • Utilize competitive analysis and market research from NPD & IDC databases to predict industry trends and develop and implement merchandising strategies to capitalize on emerging trends.

  • Partner with internal and external cross functional peers to improve processes and solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and 8+ years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 6+ years relevant experience.

  • Expert understanding of IT solutions for business and its competitive environment

  • Subject matter expert in PC’s industry, services, software, client peripherals and other technologies around business infrastructure

  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to convert insights to strategic actions

  • Experience using PowerPoint for presentations

  • Strict attention to detail and advanced competency with Excel
