Software Senior Principal Engineer (Azul) - US Remote
Dell Technologies’ Software Senior Principal Engineer is responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications and/or process designs for custom technical solutions. You will design, develop and implement total systems solutions to the enterprise-wide technical requirements of customers. The task requires integrating hardware, processes, methodologies and software within the customer environment. You will participate with the customer in the strategic design process and translate business needs into technical systems solutions. In addition, you must balance the needs of sales and delivery to design a solution that meets or exceeds the requirements of service delivery.

What you’ll achieve
As a Software Senior Principal Engineer , you will implement technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise- wide solutions, using the company’s or a third-party’s hardware/software products and/or processes and methodologies. You will integrate solutions and strategies within the customer environment, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure. In addition, you will be expected to identify additional product/services sales opportunities in the customer organization and assist the sales organization as a technical/industry subject matter expert.
Lead a technical team in developing solutions to complex business problems
Lead internal public cloud development operations (AWS, GCP, Azure) within an agile methodology
Manage internal API integrations related to CSF (Common Services Framework), Ecosystem Integration Broker (EIB), and Listener API Constructor (LAPIC)
Lead the design of multiple service areas or technologies within a broader services solution
Contribute to the sales pursuit strategy
Participate or lead in customer presentations at the senior leadership level or higher
Participate or lead in establishing operational plans and processes for the group
Lead research, discovery, planning and implementation efforts to improve business processes
Mentor less experienced team members
Provide expertise on the availability and viability of third-party components and services
Implement the information technology architecture and the total systems solutions to the enterprise-wide systems requirements of the customer
Review solution architecture projects, applications and infrastructure
Define standardized reference architectures for processes and technology

Must be a US Person
Subject matter expertise in at least one service area or technology and proficiency in multiple service areas and technologies
Skills and experience in constructing complex service solutions in the IT services market
Experience with SAFe or similar agile methodologies
Advanced understanding of services-related processes and technologies
Thorough understanding of services P&L and cash flow development and business impact
In-depth knowledge of assessing operational risk on profitability and impacts to service delivery
Experience in assessing service delivery cost driver attributes of complex services
Complete understanding and ability to construct, tailor, and negotiate service contracts (e.g., SOW) for both customer engagement and partner provisioning
Experience with managing complex large-scale implementations in a leveraged environment
- 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
