The Dell Support and Deployment Services Strategic Planning team is seeking an exceptional leader and a forward thinker to work with us on key strategic initiatives. We are a small team largely comprised of former top tier management consultants responsible for defining and driving strategic programs for Dell Services, working collaboratively across Dell Services, Corporate Development and other Dell Business Units. The team is responsible for both organic and inorganic strategic programs which include growth strategy, operational improvements, due diligence, integration support, etc.

Our Corporate Development and Strategy team is at the heart of Dell. It deals with a wide range of initiatives including new business opportunities, mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and joint ventures. Providing leadership in design, planning and due diligence, they lead the corporate development of our global business to help achieve our long-term growth objectives. They also keep us ahead of the curve by analyzing trends and developments in markets and technology before translating them into strategic operational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive competitive insights initiatives across high-impact strategic programs.

  • Work on highly complex subjects, gain exposure to senior level executives and establish relationships across Dell.

  • Provide an outside-in perspective to support key business decisions.

  • Proactively scout and monitor the competitive landscape for key trends, deciphering the impact and response options for a multi-billion dollar business unit.


  • Experience in market research and competitor analysis, project management, and financial analysis

  • Ability to spot business / market trends by distilling multiple insights into a clear takeaway and call to action

  • Ability to navigate numerous information sources such as global news media, company websites, financial and market reports, phone interviews, and subject matter expert interviews to create insightful analysis and concisely communicate findings via email and PowerPoint

  • Ability to effectively work at all levels of the organization to drive results/change; flexibility to quickly adapt to new challenges

  • Proficiency leading and managing multiple workstreams, project teams and informal teams

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

  • Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience


  • MBA/Masters

  • Tech industry experience
