Strategic Workforce Planning Director

What you’ll achieve

As the Strategic Workforce Planning Director, you will be the lead responsible for innovating, designing and deploying the strategy and planning infrastructure that optimizes and enables the Global forecasting, resourcing, and execution of strategic workforce plans across business units.

You will:

  • Engage as a trusted partner of our Business and Talent leaders to deeply understand their strategies, planning cycles, and capabilities, to enable and support optimization of supply/demand planning and reconciliation for business functions.

  • Be accountable to strategize, plan, and execute initiatives as it relates Dell's talent planning globally, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and leaders, most frequently with Talent Acquisition, Contingent Labor Solutions, Finance, HR Business Partners and HR Analytics on solution design and deployment.

  • Use data and business requirements to generate creative, advanced, and highly valued end-to-end solutions using a human centered design approach.

  • Define and document the end-to-end business processes currently used and identify where and how tooling solutions will aid with streamlining and scaling core processes

  • Manage Executive succession planning, summarizing key insights and action planning to accelerate readiness and capabilities of key talent pools.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of market shifts and talent trends and how they impact our business and workforce needs to be able to adapt solutions accordingly

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 8+ years of related experience in leading and executing strategic initiatives related to HR, workforce planning/management, and/or resource management

  • Experience working with senior leaders to identify, influence, and shape talent related strategies to meet business objectives

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to influence at an executive level, and the ability to tell customized end-to-end headcount progress-to-goal and movement stories

  • Experience being a thought leader within the organization and someone who can help internal solution strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change

Desirable Requirements

  • Advanced degrees

  • 5+ years of experience working in the tech industry or other fast-paced environments
