Strategy and Operations Lead

As Dell transforms to deliver on the promise of “as a Service” to our customers, you will be in a unique position to support the Cloud product marketing team through this transformation. You will drive the marketing strategy and operations for the cloud marketing team, as its Chief of Staff.

This role will be a highly visible member of the Dell Technologies Cloud product marketing team. She or he will partner with the leader of Product Marketing to manage our rapidly growing business. A strong candidate will work at both a strategic and operational level to clarify priorities, establish a rhythm of business review and enable strong executive decision making. She or he will achieve this by collaborating across key stakeholders from across Dell.

This position requires extensive cross-group coordination, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly. Attention to detail, project management skills, and a highly organized, process-focused mind are required to manage executive priorities and deliverables. You must be able to execute under pressure/ deadlines and drive forward even when faced with ambiguity.

You job responsibilities will include :

  • Business Leadership:  execute the Rhythm of the Business (ROB),working withthe teamto coordinate business processes and management controls. Develop quarterly marketing plan spanning all marketing functions covered by team.Workwith team counterparts to manage team participation as needed for key business events, fiscal year planningand tracking business reviews and asks.

  • Communications : execute communications planthat support organizational strategic missions. Drive internal communications for team meetings (All Hands, All Manager meetings).

  • *Executive Engagement: * Drive special projects including annual strategic planning and reviews with senior executives.

  • Team Development:  Clarify team’s operational priorities in partnership with the various stakeholders in different functions like sales, product management and other marketing teams. Make Cloud marketing team agreat place to work by partnering with HR and the leadership team to shape and drive the quarterly recognition and awards.

Essential Requirements

  • Executive impact – lead team problem solving,disaggregate complex problems, drive analysis to understand root causes and proposesolutions;influence executive thinking and drive them to action when necessary

  • Business Management – manage consistent execution of monthly business processesand Ability to define key business metrics and required reporting.

  • Budget Management – partner with finance organization to track quarterly budget for the organization

  • Communications - Strong written, power point and verbal communications skills

  • Structured problem solving –Organizational skills - Strong organizational skills with the ability to consolidate and integrate a wide range of inputs; lead key business initiatives

  • Collaboration - Work collaboratively in complex cross functional environments

Desirable Requirements

  • Strong Excel skills. Understanding of how to build reports in tools like Business Objects, Tableau and SQL Reporting Services a plus.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a technology or management consulting company
