Our Supply Chain team within Materials and Purchasing drives the development, implementation and management of supply chain operations and suppliers in the delivery of strategic programs. It’s all about managing supplier relationships and ensuring the availability of parts and services in the supply chain, while maintaining inventory at acceptable levels. We focus our resources on the continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes and establishing key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Global NPI Planning which includes ensuring all components are forecasted and setup for all commodities which tie to a specific line of business.

  • Is responsible for financial targets and driving efficiencies cross functionally in Global forums.

  • Ensure global seed stock accuracy is implemented at time of product launch to ensure external and internal customers are supported.

  • Plans and releases purchase orders to buying teams which execute on behalf of the planning forecast implemented by global NPI Planner.

  • Provides updates in weekly Interlocks with cross functional teams and reports on service readiness for the platforms they are managing.

  • Resolves and communicates upstream on discrepancies found within the part to platform hierarchy being released.

  • Maintains accuracy forecast loaded into NPI Tracker Tool which is the repository for all forecast to procurement execution.

  • Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery, also contributes to the development of new forecasting techniques.

Essential Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of Dell goals, customer requirements and knowledge of competitor practices.

  • Understanding of SQL/Power BI/Data mining is a plus.

  • Understands impact of emerging business trends and their implications for Dell and its customers.

  • In-depth knowledge of professional standards.

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study

  • Minimum Experience Requirement: Will accept 10+ years of experience in related field in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
