Technical Product Manager, Virtual Infrastructure Solutions (VMWare) (Telcos | MSOs | Telco Vendors) -- Remote Texas, Remote California, Remote Mass. or Remote USA.

What you’ll achieve

As a Technical Product Manager for our Virtual Infrastructure Solutions (VMware) , you will have Product Management experience and be the technical subject matter expert within the product development group, while being deeply engaged with our sales organizations to enable them to solve complex customer challenges with our technology solution offerings. You will use your deep technical expertise to work with your broader product management counterparts to define next generation product and solution offerings. Since you love being in front of people, you will also be traveling to conduct sales and channel boot camps and attend customer meetings.

You will:

  • Drive strategic product communications through presentations across organizations providing clarity in decisions. You will own VMware based virtual network infrastructure architecture and define long-term product technical evolution.

  • Serve as the primary Technical Product Manager defining offer roadmap to develop capabilities required for the transformation of the Dell TSB portfolio

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers, Leaders and Engineering/ R&D leaders to align TSB business and product strategies with security roadmap

  • Ensure that technology platforms provide needed capabilities to support security offer strategy and security priorities across the Dell TSB portfolio

  • Work across all functional areas, gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and communicating the impact of product/ solution decisions to all stakeholders. Prioritize features and specifications, applying budget, timeline and other constraints

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA preferred; or equivalent work experience with 10 years of experience in the communications industry as service provider, customer, vendor or system integrator. Combination of those experiences are desirable.

  • Experience with compliance standards/programs (ETSI, ONAP, OpenStack, Kubernetes) and expertise in Agile and can work with at least one of the common frameworks

  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization, cloud native and edge deployment models/operations. Experience in delivering cloud-based environments and applications with or w/o managed services.

  • Virtual Infrastructure technology domain expertise which includes: Integration with Telco networks based on OpenRAN, familiarity with various locations and requirements, VMWare network engineering, design, architecture and/or operations, VMware vSAN, vCenter, NSX, Tanzu, Telco cloud Automation and Telco Cloud Operations

  • Proven track record of presenting directly to executive and C-level customers. Experience working both independently and in a virtual, collaborative environment is essential.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience and understanding of the growing influence and role that open source (hardware, like OCP and TIP; software, like ONF, OpenStack, OSM, Open-O, Kubernetes) plays in infrastructure solutions development and standard bodies.

  • Attention to detail balanced with high level process overview/improvements; along with the ability to prioritize as the position will be working across multiple solutions and organizations often with conflicting requirements.
