Dell Technical Program Manager - Product Security in Round Rock, Texas

The Dell Product Security Office offers a unique opportunity to join a very talented team involved in the progressive business of developing, building and delivering leading edge product security practices and standards.
As a Technical Program Manager on the Dell Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) , a function of the Product Security Office, you’ll define and implement best practice methods, processes, tools and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at unifying, simplifying, scaling and increasing the efficiency of Dell’s product security incident response processes.
Engage with external security researchers and research organizations
Work with engineering and support organizations to triage vulnerability reports and determine the impact on Dell products
Manage and drive vulnerabilities to resolution working with cross-functional teams
Coordinate communication of vulnerability impact and remedy information to customers
Define and report program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics
Manage against defined process timelines and requirements
Ensure completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support programs
Identify, escalate and ensure resolution of issues impacting successful execution of programs
Drive consistency and standardization of defined process
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
Work and collaborate with other team members to develop tools and services for the rollout of secure product development at Dell
Experience in security and risk management
Experience implementing security and incident management processes is a plus
Proven knowledge of engineering operations and product lifecycle process, tools and metrics
Ability to dialogue with engineering at a reasonable level of technical depth
Ability to prioritize projects, tasks and deliverables and manage dynamic priorities
Ability to drive moderately complex, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing priorities
Strong analytical, process management and reporting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Results-driven and accountability-minded
- 8+ years of related experience, specifically in Engineering Operations, Security Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, Incident Response.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
