As User Experience Researcher within the IT Marketing organization, you will drive the complete research process and collaborate closely with cross-functional counterparts in Design, Marketing, and Engineering to influence key strategy and execution decisions. Your research will be instrumental in defining the next-generation of products and services, as you spearhead the human-centered decision-making process, and collaborate on the development of the most useful and usable product experiences for a global audience.
Partner with remote design, product, and marketing colleagues to understand business needs and design appropriate research studies to generate focused insights
Design and conduct user research studies, including surveys, in-depth interviews, field studies, focus groups, and concept/prototype testing
Foster collaboration with designers, product managers, marketers and sales to translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform execution
Work in partnership with other researchers and organizations within the company (e.g., data analytics) to create comprehensive and coordinated research strategies that triangulate data from different sources/methods to develop recommendations
Cleverly deliver research findings with strong recommendations
5+ years of industry experience conducting user research using various methods and working in team with developers and designers
End-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, facilitation, analysis, and reporting)
Hands-on experience with a broad range of data collection and analytical techniques such as survey construction/analysis, UI prototype development, usability testing, focus group facilitation, and qualitative/observational methods, ethnography, and quantitative statistical data analysis
Ability to synthesize and summarize findings within and across studies and participants, identify key insights and opportunities, and work with designers to turn them into great user experiences
Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in a fast paced environment; Self-motivated and execution-oriented Iterative delivery models (Agile, Pivotal, Lean)
Experience in remote collaboration.
Submission of portfolio or Curriculum Vitae with application/resume
MS in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or another appropriate discipline plus 3 years of experience in user or design research
Strong grasp of quantitative data analysis, statistics and Analytics tools from Adobe and Google
Experience conducting remote usability studies on both web and mobile platforms
Excellent sense of humor, flexible by nature, comfortable with ambiguity
