We are now seeking a Research Professional for Dell’s Digital Acceleration Organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving customer insights for our Dell.com Customer Experience Team. The successful candidate will also provide support through research, customer perceptions, and analysis of the Dell’s markets, competition, and end users. Representing the needs and desires of our end customers, the Usability Experience Researcher will serve as the spokesperson to champion improvements and future planning of Dell.com and related digital properties.
Execute all phases of usability testing, including development of participant screeners, test plans, moderating lab sessions, creating and delivering top-line summaries and in-depth reports
Collects and analyzes data from across sources to identify market trends and potentials, competitive forces, penetration strategies, user biases and preferences, and similar parameters of the marketplace.
Supports research operational practices as required. Includes the collection and sharing of third party market research to internal teams, management of tools and licenses.
Prepares presentations for management regarding customer strategy, planning and product identification.
Recommends future development trends on local, regional, national or worldwide basis based upon timely industry reporting.
Timely coordination, execution, and reporting for broad range of quantitative and qualitative studies including but not limited to surveys, usability studies, accessibly audits, ethnography,
Partner with vendors to recruit external participants and moderate sessions as required
Integrate within Dell’s Digital UX Design and IT teams serving as subject matter expert on the user experience, usability best practices, user-centered design, and our customers.
Typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Experience in user research and usability analysis specific to interactive design with proven track record in executing remote and in-person usability studies.
Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills to communicate clear, concise findings and actionable recommendations to designers, developers, project managers, and executives.
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, remote testing, card sorting, survey evaluation, A/B and multivariate testing, and heuristic evaluations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter experts
Good technical background, expertise in writing high quality policy, process and procedure documents & strong presentation skills
