Software Principal Engineer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

What you’ll achieve

As a Software Engineer, you will deliver products and improvements for the changing requirements. Working at the cutting edge, you will craft and develop software by analyse the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment to build technical system answers and create sophisticated software solutions.

You will:

  • Participate in the preparation, review and evaluation of software requirements and specifications

  • Take design from concept to production, which may include design reviews, feature implementation, debugging and testing.

  • Use defined software lifecycle methodologies

  • Review and implement test strategies for software products

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software environments

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive Hands-on experience in an object-oriented or functional programming language (i.e. Python, Golang)

  • Strong understanding of interactive application development paradigm, memory management, performance/resource optimizations, database interactions, concurrency and multithreading, fault tolerance, security, and operability of systems

  • Experience working on production-grade distributed systems, microservices architecture, RESTful services, and CI/CD

  • Experience on REST API with Swager or OpenAPI

  • Experience with messaging infra like Kafka or RabitMQ

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of containerized applications

  • Experience with Jenkins pipeline
