What you’ll achieve
As the Security and Quality Sr. Director you will span all of TSB engineering to set best practices and standards for product and solution quality and security. This will include working with external and internal partners to unify the supply chain and establish standards to meet Telco benchmarks along with managing lab standards to ensure the security of our pipeline to customers. Our team works closely with a world-class product and partner management team in defining and road-mapping offers; you will be a critical influencer. Together, we have a strong track record of creating unique value for Dell Technologies, with a robust and positive customer impact. The engineering team works closely with key service providers and customers worldwide, which, taken together, represent about 70% of the market. Collaboratively, we create production-worthy offerings that are unique, cutting-edge, and are shaping this emerging market.

Provide leadership in driving a security mindset as part of building an end-to-end ecosystem for telecom solutions, setting the strategic direction for all of TSB engineering.
Identify opportunities to shift processes left in the ecosystem so that Dell is considered the best and most secure route to market for our partners.
Engage with customers to drive security collaborations, understanding their security needs and current gaps to drive future requirements into our products
Provide Quality Assurance leadership to implement industry best practices in the TSB engineering process and assure telco grade quality products.
Provide leadership for Common tooling for the TSB engineering organization.
Oversee the management of lab environments, including building and managing the production pipeline that will deliver IP directly to our customers.
Be a change agent, by advocating for features needed for joint customer, and removal of technical roadblocks.
Work with industry standards bodies to make sure TSB products are compliant and participate in the appropriate standards bodies and forums.
Work with Dell Technologies’ OEM and ODM partners.

15+ background in architecture, implementation, and delivery of Telco solutions to market
Ability to define product security testing requirements and the test plans to validate the requirements have been met, working collaboratively across Dell, our supply chain, and our ecosystem of partners to drive security testing earlier in the pipeline
Knowledgeable throughout the various layers of large-scale systems, from hardware and physical layer protocols up through the application-layer; can advise product management, engineering, supply chain, partners, and customers on specific requirements needed throughout the stack to ensure a robust and secure product.
Experience managing quality engineering and metrics across a broad range of products and solutions.
Experience managing engineering development environments, and ability to define global lab strategy and plan equipment for 500+ engineers.
Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate technical vision while understanding business requirements.
Strong executive level & customer facing presentation skills.
Experience leading teams through both direct and matrixed reporting structures.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related majors.
Structured problem solving: disaggregate complex problems, drive analysis to understand root causes and propose solutions.
Prior experience focused on security and software quality.
Proven ability to plan, schedule and deliver high quality software.
Experience collaborating with customers to understand the problem statement/use cases and mapping them to tangible technical requirements.
