Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.
You will lead a high-performance group of Software Quality Engineers in Santa Clara, California to deliver quality Data Domain products. To be successful in this role you will need to be an an experienced hands-on manager with strong leadership skills and proven success in automating testing large, complex, commercial storage systems.
Primary Responsibilities :
Lead the test planning, test execution, and day to day activities of a geographically dispersed SQE team to deliver products on time with high level of quality
Dive into the technical details to ensure appropriate test coverage
Lead the team to increase automated test coverage
Be an advocate for customer requirements. Lead the team to collaborate with cross-functional teams: Development, System Tests. Customer Support and Escalation to understand and incorporate customer use cases into our testing
Provide people management and career development to the team
Ensure and drive the productivity and efficiency of a geographically dispersed team
Recruit and attract new talents for the software quality engineering team to meet the company plan to support multiple concurrent product releases with an aggressive schedule
Experience as a hands-on manager with proven success automating testing of large, complex, commercial storage systems.
Thorough understanding of software development and QA processes, principles, and techniques.
Experience in testing file system, NAS or enterprise backup storage products
Experience with Python programming and Python test automation framework (PyTest)
Experience in working in Unix and VMware environments
Excellent communication, collaboration, operational management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
