The Systems Management team is responsible for all configuration management and monitoring functions of Data Domain systems. This includes things such as; user interface applications, monitoring daemons to watch hardware and software, alert/alarm mechanisms, Access Control, Database Configuration and Access Functions, SNMP, design and development of management interfaces, services to manipulate configurations, and capabilities to plug-in to third party management frameworks.
Design, develop and maintain features within the Data Domain System Management team
Write design specifications for new features related to Systems Management.
Participate in architecture discussions and reviews.
Work with other team members to determine, support, and qualify future requirements.
Support QA and SE on product verification and customer qualifications
C on Linux/Unix, a must
Expert knowledge of databases -(PostgreSQL/Postgres or SQLite preferred but open to any DB expertise)
Experience developing Systems Management or Network Management Software (NMS/EMS)
System Debugging design and implementation experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A team player who likes to work in a high energy atmosphere
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with C++, XML, Perl, Python, Bison
Strong networking background (i.e. TCP/IP, Sockets, RPC)
Education and Experience Level: Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
